The probiotic Lactobacillus can be found in the mouth, gut, female reproductive organ as well as in certain foods. It is a type of “good” bacteria essential to the process of absorbing nutrients, breaking down foods and fighting off organisms that may lead to diseases. Lactobacillus can contribute to reduced cramps, bloating, gas, and diarrhea that may be caused by certain bacteria. Some signs of Lactobacillus insufficiency include abdominal pain, chronic fatigue, brain fog and some mood disorders such as depression and anxiety.
